'People are intimidated' - why 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the squad everyone fears.

There's no doubt why Arsenal have become numerous fans' preferred choice to secure the Premier League in the current campaign.

Look at their results against Newcastle and Crystal Palace compared to those identical matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have defeated all of them during this campaign, but dropped 10 points across those games as they dropped off in the title race previously.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's defensive strength is a primary factor why they are appearing strong to at last realize their title target.

They lead the league for unbreached games (6), goals allowed (3), attempts against (72), quality opportunities against (19) and xGA (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the finest in the league, with Arsenal maintaining a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their danger from dead balls is widely recognized, but rival sides still don't know how to contain the Gunners from these chances.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals resulting from these situations.

"Arsenal can perform multiple roles now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just afraid of them and it is great to see."

Title Potential

What is particularly impressive about Arsenal's beginning to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their historic competitors face difficulties. This marks the initial occasion at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the beginning, having invested around £250m on eight summer signings in search of that elusive first title since 2004.

But the spending has so far proven successful in style, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and boasting the most resilient defense, despite several injuries.

  • Unbreached games in three straight Premier League games
  • 385 minutes without allowing a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and analysts have characterized Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with confidence and resolve.
